"This rink is awesome. We were looking to expand our winter opportunities with weather changes here and pattern changes, we knew we had to do more in the winter to give our kids opportunities for enjoyment. Then much to our surprise it wasn't only for the children but the adults in the town were also very responsive and enjoyed the ice rink as well. The Refrigeration System is Fantastic! It was everything we were told it would be and the usage was much higher that we expected as well. This season (last season) we were only open three or four days a week, we are going to increase that next year to about five or six days a week. The chillers made a big difference as we were able to skate when it was warm winter and people could skate even when it was almost 50 Degrees. But, the opportunities for kids in the community were just amazing. And the response from the community was amazing. The people in the county are admirable and looking at us as a leader in winter recreation as in the Northeast we have few days of pond skating during the winter due to climate change its amazing for us. Our parents are really happy, our kids are very happy and a happy community makes for a happy mayor.
